I’m Brandy Edwards, a Certified Academic Language Therapist-Qualified Instructor (CALT-QI). I began my career as a classroom teacher, and teaching children to read was always my favorite part of the day. But it wasn’t until my daughter was identified with dyslexia in second grade that my professional journey took a personal turn. We were fortunate to work with a skilled specialist who taught my daughter the way she needed to learn—and who also guided me with patience and empathy. She helped me understand how to support my daughter at home and how to advocate for her needs.

 

Inspired by that experience, I pursued advanced training in dyslexia therapy and became certified in the programs I now use to help other families. My educational background, combined with a personal connection to learning differences, gives me a deep understanding of what families are experiencing.

Many of the students I work with also have ADHD. That’s something I understand firsthand as well—my other daughter was diagnosed in fourth grade. Today, both of my daughters are young adults who have grown stronger through their challenges. My mission remains the same: to provide effective, compassionate support to students who learn differently—and to the parents who care so deeply about helping them succeed.
