Dyslexia Therapy

Edwards Literacy provides dyslexia intervention using the evidence-based programs MTA (Multisensory Teaching Approach) and Take Flight. We also teach Scottish Rite's JET program to older students ready for a faster pace. These structured literacy programs are direct, systematic, cumulative, and multisensory. Virtual sessions make high quality instruction accessible from anywhere. For families located nearby, in-person sessions are available in the Argyle, Texas area.

Reading Tutoring

I offer individualized tutoring for students who may not have a dyslexia diagnosis but are experiencing difficulties with reading, spelling, or writing. Some students may simply need targeted support, while others may be showing early signs of a reading challenge. Instruction is grounded in structured literacy practices that benefit all learners. Whether your child needs help building foundational skills or ongoing support to stay on track, I provide personalized, evidence-based instruction tailored to their unique needs.

Advocacy Services

Navigating the special education process can feel overwhelming, and having an experienced advocate by your side can make all the difference. I help families understand their child’s rights and ensure their needs are met in school. This includes attending IEP, ARD, and 504 meetings, reviewing documentation, and helping parents communicate effectively with educators and administrators. My goal is to empower families with knowledge, confidence, and a clear plan for collaboration so every child can receive the support they deserve.

Teacher Training

Edwards Literacy now offers professional development workshops for dyslexia teachers and therapists. We train educators in the Multisensory Teaching Approach (MTA). We offer options for individuals seeking CALP or CALT certification as well as refresher courses for school districts seeking to build confidence and consistency throughout their teams. Our desire is for all children to receive quality literacy instruction. We believe the best way to achieve that goal is to empower educators to make a lasting impact in their classrooms.
